For children in our Early Preschool classroom, learning to follow and listen to directions, and developing independence are at the core of the curriculum. Children learn the importance of the printed word, art, and science, and are exposed to music and movement.
Preparatory skills like counting, cutting, gluing, categorizing, and organizing are introduced into your child’s daily routine. They’ll learn new themes and concepts through center time, and both small and large group learning circles.
Teachers will actively support and encourage interaction among the children while modeling effective communication. Parents receive a copy of our weekly lesson plans and newsletters to ensure appropriate communication between school and home.
Starting the day with the usual family greetings your child will follow a schedule that includes a morning snack, learning time, arts & crafts, numbers, potty time and nap time. The introduction of new concepts, and learning to focus and take directions, is coupled with outdoor time and snacks throughout the day.
